About Sydney Language School
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head.
If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” Nelson Mandela
Our heart language is the language we grow up hearing and speaking, the language we dream in, the one in which we express and receive life-changing words whilst growing up. It is familiar and nothing will ever change the fact that when you hear this language, no matter where you go, it is like music to your ears.
When you travel to a foreign country, or meet someone whose heart language differs from yours, there is no better way to connect with them than to smile and speak a gentle word in their language. I promise you, a small effort can go a very long way in unlocking doors you never thought you could open: the locals’ hearts.
Sydney Language School exists to help make this dream a reality, so that you too can speak another’s heart language, and have so much fun in the process!

About the Teachers
Spanish, French, English as a Second Language
Born in Argentina, Agi (as she is known by all) has a bilingual upbringing. She moved to Australia permanently at the age of 15. At university she majored in French and Spanish, with a minor in English as a Second Language, obtaining her Diploma in Education in 2007. Post-university she studied Italian, Greek and Hebrew and is always on the lookout to learn new languages. She absolutely loves the way languages challenge and expand one’s understanding of culture and people.
With nearly 10 years experience teaching all different age groups, she brings her energy, passion and creativity into each lesson, guaranteeing an engaging and productive time together as your world expands and new doors are opened.
Agi is a passionate, more than qualified and experienced teacher who welcomes the opportunity to teach people of all ages as they embark on the adventure that learning a new language ignites.
Spanish, French, English
Born in Spanish-speaking El Salvador, Alejandra moved to Switzerland at a young age where she learned to speak and write French fluently. She then moved back to Central America, returning to El Salvador via Dominican Republic, and completed 7 years of work at the Salvadorian Alliance Française. There she taught French to Spanish speakers of all ages while she studied for her Bachelor degree in Economics (in Spanish). Once she completed her degree, she moved to Australia with her husband. From 2012 she worked in Sydney for the French Consulate and for Business France.
Today she is feeling excited and looking forward to returning to her bilingual roots and doing what she loves with all her heart: teaching others the beauty of the French and Spanish languages.
Italian, French, English as a Second Language
Lara has over 10 years of experience teaching languages to students of all ages and levels. Growing up in a bilingual household (Italian and English), her interest and appreciation of other cultures began at a young age. Throughout high school, Lara developed her love for French and continued language learning at university, majoring in Italian and French, with a minor in English as a Second Language. Since university she has taught both in Australia and in Europe and has had the opportunity to travel the world. Lara is a vibrant and encouraging teacher who is excited to share her passion for language learning with you. Her love for teaching echoes the sentiments of Federico Fellini: “A different language is a different vision of life”
